"My girlfriend has 3 dachshunds and I was playing with the youngest while I was visiting her. Never in a million years did I think that I would get bit by my friend’s dog, but I did. I was rolling a ball to the youngest dog and the ball got stuck under a chair and when I bent down to get it I was on my knees. I turned around and the middle dog bit me on the lips. Well I got 9 stitches from that little dog around my upper lip and under my nose. I started using Mederma® after the stitches were removed and I have been using it for 8 weeks and the results are great."

I had foot surgery on July 20th. I had an arthritic joint in my big toe that had to be fused. The incision was about 3 inches long on the top of my foot. It looked horrible to me when they took the bandages off after 2 weeks. The before picture I am sending is the picture 2 weeks after surgery and the after picture is a short time after using the Mederma® Scar Gel. It is amazing that I can see results that quickly!

"On August 2nd, 2008 I was assaulted and left with 3 scars on my face. The first two are about 1 inch long, both on my forehead. The last one is the one that I knew would change my life. It is the biggest scar on my face and is 4 inches long. My face literally hung down, severed all the way down to my temporalis muscle. From the arch of my eyebrow to my hairline right above my ear. When the ordeal happened I remember looking in the mirror and saying "I have to learn how to live with the new me. This is who I am." Although I was devastated internally, I pushed forward. I wore my hair down hiding my scars, I learned every make-up trick and trade. At the same time I said, something has to be done. When the doctor removed the top layer of 214 stitches, I was left with nerve damage, numbness, tingling, ear aches and I was not able to raise my eyebrow. Not to mention scars!! My son who was 3 at the time called me "Monster Mommy". :( Coincidentally two different friends came over and both introduced me to Mederma®. I said nothing would work! Now I can walk around PROUD without makeup. I made a picture diary for my family to see how I progressed. My before and after shots are amazing. I've recently started my Mederma® again and people are really noticing and asking me "What have you been doing?!" The people that don't know me say "What scar?" I have never used anything else on my scars and I never will. I recommend Mederma® to anyone. It does not hurt to at least try!! - THANK YOU for this product....it has changed my life. I'm crying looking at my pictures today, but I want people to see how I’ve improved and how I have the CONFIDENCE to prove it!!"

On June 27, 2011 my husband had Deep Brain Stimulation surgery not once but TWICE. The first operation was on 6/27 and then because there was a problem with one of the wires which had been inserted in his brain, they had to re-do the same terrifying surgery the next day, June 28, 2011. The incision on the top right front of his head required 18 staples as well as 8 places around the perimeter of his head where the "Halo" was screwed into his skull. The first thing that I thought of was the commercial that I had seen for the Mederma® Scar Gel. When the staples were removed, I began a regimen of applying the gel 4 times a day. It is now a month after surgery and people cannot believe how much the incision has healed. I recommend Mederma® to everyone that asks. Thank you for giving hope to so many people.

I had taken a nasty fall trying to rush back to my apartment one night in the winter of 2011. I had sprained my ankle and scraped my knee very bad that I left a trail of blood from the curb at which I had fallen, up the stairs and into my apartment. I was really worried about the deep scrape on my knee. My friend suggested I use Mederma® having recently used it to treat a scar of her own she's had for years. After my wound healed, I gave it a shot and I am so glad I did. In fact, my boyfriend had a similar wound on his knee from a track event around the same time I had my wound. Four months later his scar is still very visible, while my scar is virtually impossible to see!

On September 5th, 2011 I was in a bad car accident. We're not sure if I blacked out or fell asleep behind the wheel but I went off the road, just missed a telephone pole and crashed into some rocks and small trees. My car was totaled, and I was lucky to be alive with just some cuts and bruises. 90% of the cuts healed quickly but I was left with a few deeper cuts on my face, one on my arm and a couple on my chest. Mederma® has helped me so much. It's been less than 2 months and all my scars are a lot less noticeable. I have one scar on my chin that is still visible when I don't wear makeup, and I will continue to use the Mederma® until it looks better. Thank you :)

My fiancé and I had gone over to his friends’ house in April 2010. Their bigger dog was sitting on top of the couch with its owner and child watching TV. The dog jumped off the couch and lunged at me - it didn't know me and saw me as a threat, it was being protective. In any case, it bit me on my left upper thigh area and ran off back into the house almost as soon as it did bite. I was wearing 2 layers - jeans, and leggings - and although the bite hurt very badly, when I looked down my jeans were not torn apart, and there was only a very, very small hole where maybe one tooth got through, and I did not see any blood (yet). I had never been bitten by a dog before in my life, so despite the pain I assumed that since there was little damage to my jeans that I might need a band-aid at worst. The dog’s owner came running almost immediately to ask if it had bitten me and if I was okay, and I said (fully believing it as I was saying it) that I was okay, that I just needed to sit down - and almost right after I said that I fell to the ground in pain. My fiancé came running and got me inside to a safe room and looked at the damage. When I saw his face, I thought he was just putting me on, and when he said I was going to need stitches and that I needed to get to the hospital, NOW, I thought he was trying to mess with me. So I looked down expecting to prove him wrong, and immediately went into shock. My first dog bite - and I can see into my leg, there was a hole, and I'm not sure how that happened with how little damage there was to my 2 layers of pants. At the hospital they wouldn't stitch it because it was an animal bite and there was a risk of infection from bacteria, so they cleaned it, dressed it, and sent me home with care instructions and a prescription. After 6 weeks when it finally healed, I started looking for something to make the scar less visible, and decided to try Mederma® Scar Gel as soon as I was able to. I have been very pleased with the results so far. I would definitely recommend (and have in fact already recommended) Mederma®.

A year and a half ago I underwent surgery along the right side of my neck. Two weeks after the stitches fell out, and with advice from my doctor, I started using Mederma® Scar Cream Plus SPF 30 as directed on the packaging. I used the cream for six months and wanted to share my pictures. Thank you so very much for this wonderful product. The scar had potential to be very noticeable and could have caused me to become self-conscious, but thankfully it didn’t. Again, thank you!

I burned myself on the oven and it left me with a scar on my forearm! I heard about Mederma® Scar Cream and did some research and this is what I chose to try for my scar. So glad I did because it really works, people! I followed the instructions and within the first 3 weeks I saw my scar starting to look better. I continued using it for another 6 weeks. I’m so satisfied with the results and would definitely use it again, but I hope I won’t ever have to!

On May 14th, 2010 I was playing with our friend’s full grown Labrador when the dog snapped at me and bit me on my face. His canine teeth ripped through my cheek while his upper and lower teeth tore at my skin. I was left with a puncture wound and a two inch gash along with several deep scratches. I was told by the ER doctor that I would have several scars. My niece had used Mederma® for Kids™ for a scratch and had good success with it so I decided to try it on my face. I started using Mederma® Scar Cream Plus SPF 30 immediately after losing my last scab which was about at two weeks. I used it as directed for 10 weeks. I went back to my family physician and she was surprised at my recovery rate. In 10 weeks my scars were a lot less noticeable. I cannot believe how this product works.

For 2 years I wasn't able to use my left wrist properly. Me being a guitar player and about to get married, it was a problem. I scheduled an appointment on my 22nd birthday to have surgery done to remove a ganglion cyst from my left wrist. I didn't think I would have a huge scar after my surgery, The thought of it didn't even cross my mind. After getting my stitches out I nearly had a heart attack, this scar was HUGE. I waited a few months for it to go away on its own, that didn't happen. Luckily I ran into a nurse and asked her what she recommended for scars, she said that I should try Mederma® Scar Cream. At first I was a bit put off by the $23.00 price tag of a small tube, but the stuff lasts a long time and does a wonderful job! Thank you Mederma® for helping greatly reduce the appearance of my ghastly scar before my wedding and future concerts. :)
