This will be a time consuming change. However I didn't know such a wonderful product existed and I am very happy. I am excited to put my Mederma^® gel on at night and feel the results on my skin. I love putting on make-up now and seeing my skin smoother in the mirror. It seemed impossible before I used this, but it really has built my confidence. I think another couple months and my acne scars will be so less noticeable that I'll even be confident without any make-up on! :) Coming from a girl who has suffered so long from acne, I really want anyone out there that may be giving up to just try it. On September 5th, 2011 I was in a bad car accident. We're not sure if I blacked out or fell asleep behind the wheel but I went off the road, just missed a telephone pole and crashed into some rocks and small trees. My car was totaled, and I was lucky to be alive with just some cuts and bruises. 90% of the cuts healed quickly but I was left with a few deeper cuts on my face, one on my arm and a couple on my chest. Mederma^® has helped me so much. It's been less than 2 months and all my scars are a lot less noticeable. First and foremost, I am truly thankful for Mederma^®. I was in a recent accident at the end of November 2011, and had both my hands cut by a window glass. My fiancé and I had gone over to his friends’ house in April 2010. Their bigger dog was sitting on top of the couch with its owner and child watching TV. The dog jumped off the couch and lunged at me - it didn't know me and saw me as a threat, it was being protective. In any case, it bit me on my left upper thigh area and ran off back into the house almost as soon as it did bite. I was wearing 2 layers - jeans, and leggings - and although the bite hurt very badly, when I looked down my jeans were not torn apart, and there was only a very, very small hole where maybe one tooth got through, and I did not see any blood (yet). I had never been bitten by a dog before in my life, so despite the pain I assumed that since there was little damage to my jeans that I might need a band-aid at worst. The dog’s owner came running almost immediately to ask if it had bitten me and if I was okay, and I said (fully believing it as I was saying it) that I was okay, that I just needed to sit down - and almost right after I said that I fell to the ground in pain. My fiancé came running and got me inside to a safe room and looked at the damage. When I saw his face, I thought he was just putting me on, and when he said I was going to need stitches and that I needed to get to the hospital, NOW, I thought he was trying to mess with me. So I looked down expecting to prove him wrong, and immediately went into shock. My first dog bite - and I can see into my leg, there was a hole, and I'm not sure how that happened with how little damage there was to my 2 layers of pants. At the hospital they wouldn't stitch it because it was an animal bite and there was a risk of infection from bacteria, so they cleaned it, dressed it, and sent me home with care instructions and a prescription. After 6 weeks when it finally healed, I started looking for something to make the scar less visible, and decided to try Mederma^® Scar Gel as soon as I was able to. I have been very pleased with the results so far. I would definitely recommend (and have in fact already recommended) Mederma^®.

 

I have some scars under my left eye where my glasses that I have worn for years have rubbed against my skin. I bought a tube of Mederma^® about 3.5 weeks ago out of curiosity and the largest scar is a lot less visible. The appearance of the other 2 considerably improved and I expect them to look even better in a matter of a week or two. What a wonder product! I fell coming out of the pool and scraped my left leg really bad. I started using Mederma^® and after a few weeks I could see improvement in the appearance of my scar. Thanks Mederma^®.

When I was a teenager my friend’s dog attacked me. I had 7 stiches under my eye and my parents thought I would have to get plastic surgery. I used Mederma^® every day for a month and my scar is barely noticeable. I just recently had 10 moles removed and some came back pre-cancerous so they will go deeper to get more tissue. I'm hoping to have the same wonderful results as last time. I also found I was allergic to bandaids during all of this and have some nasty scars from the corners of the bandaids, hopefully Mederma^® can help that too!

I tripped and fell onto a slate floor and split my forehead open. I did not get stitches and prayed for the best. Everyone recommended Mederma® Scar Gel and I used it twice a day and my scar isn't as visible as it once was.

I had taken a nasty fall trying to rush back to my apartment one night in the winter of 2011. I had sprained my ankle and scraped my knee very bad that I left a trail of blood from the curb at which I had fallen, up the stairs and into my apartment. I was really worried about the deep scrape on my knee. My friend suggested I use Mederma^® having recently used it to treat a scar of her own she's had for years. After my wound healed, I gave it a shot and I am so glad I did. In fact, my boyfriend had a similar wound on his knee from a track event around the same time I had my wound. Four months later his scar is still very visible, while my scar is virtually impossible to see!

 

I really had my doubts about Mederma^® Scar Gel even though I saw all the good reviews from this site and I also have had some small minor hockey scars that are improving fairly quickly thanks to Mederma^®. I would recommend it to everyone since it has helped me so much and I will continue to use it till my little yet annoying scars are even less noticeable. I stepped in some ant spray my husband had spilled in our garage and broke both my legs just below the knees. My right leg required surgery and lots of hardware. My orthopedic surgeon did a great job, but ortho's are not known for their pretty work like plastic surgeons. I started using Mederma^® as soon as my incision was healed. I am a firm believer in Mederma^®! My sister told me how she swore by it after her surgery so I had nothing to lose by trying it too. I was brutally attacked by a presa canario dog in June 2010; my left arm was barely attached, my forehead looked worse than Harry Potter. The doctors told me to use Mederma^® after a few weeks, when the wounds truly closed. I went through so much Mederma^® but it was so worth it; almost 16 months later, you can only see the scars on my face and head when I point them out. Although my left arm still has a nasty scar, the progress of the healing of my scar has been wonderful. I still use Mederma^® to lessen it. Now I swear by Mederma^® and recommend it to everyone I talk to.
