MEDERMA® ADVANCED SCAR GEL IS CLINICALLY SHOWN TO REDUCE THE APPEARANCE OF SCARS.

In a clinical study, the investigator saw a >20% improvement over untreated scars in texture, redness, softness and overall appearance after 8 weeks.1

During the study, subjects began to see improvement in as little as 2 weeks and experienced 42% greater improvement vs. untreated scars in overall appearance by week 4 (P<0.01).1

When used as directed, Mederma® Advanced Scar Gel is safe for any patient with a scar, from children over 6 months to the elderly.

However, some people may be sensitive to its ingredients. If patients experience severe itching, swelling or scar discoloration, they should stop using Mederma® Advanced immediately.

Adverse events with Mederma® Advanced Scar Gel were minimal and were considered mild to treat and resolve.1

Mederma® Advanced Scar Gel should be evenly applied and gently rubbed into the scar 1X daily after the wound has healed and sutures have been removed. Mederma® should not be applied to open wounds and can be started immediately on older scars.

Mederma® Advanced is recommended for 8 weeks of use on new scars and 3-6 months on existing scars.

When recommending Mederma® Advanced to your patients, it is important to remind them that compliance is crucial for optimal results.
