Each year, children suffer accidental falls, scrapes, cuts, bug bites and burns. All of these injuries can lead to scars. 92% of pediatricians believe it's important for children to be involved in their scar therapy.1
Mederma® for Kids™ is formulated to involve children in their scar treatment and improve compliance:
- Goes on purple, dries clear
- Kid-friendly scent
- Kids will want to take part in their therapy
In one study2, patients experienced statistically significant improvements at week four and week eight in the appearance, color, texture and softness of their scar. The same study found that the non-toxic gel was very well tolerated among users.
Mederma® for Kids™ is non-toxic and non-staining.*
In a safety study2 involving 51 children, there were no adverse events that led to discontinuation of treatment. In fact, only one product-related adverse event mild dryness was reported throughout the 8-week study. This study showed that Mederma® for Kids™ is very well tolerated with minimal potential for irritation or allergic reaction.
* Like many non-staining products, MEDERMA® for Kids™ could discolor delicate fabrics such as silk, leather, suede, and others. It is best to avoid use of this product around fabrics like these.
Apply a thin coat of Mederma® for Kids™ to the scar, and gently massage it in 3 times daily. Use for 8 weeks on new scars and 3 to 6 months on existing scars. Mederma® for Kids™ is available in a 20 gram tube that lasts about three months on scars up to three inches long.
Mederma® for Kids™ helps soften and smooth scars with the same key ingredients as clinically proven Mederma®. It's formulated just for kids with a purple gel and a kid-friendly scent.
