I have had two shoulder surgeries over the last few years, leaving me with two different scars: one on the back of my shoulder, and one in the front. I just wanted to say thank you for creating Mederma. I turned 28 in the hospital last year after my OB/GYN found a 7lb. cyst where my left ovary once was. The surgery was difficult and left me with an exaggerated six and a half inch C-Section type scar.

The Doctor who performed the surgery informed me that, unfortunately, the incision had healed with excessive scar tissue and the pitted, stiff, red, and “buckled” skin would be with me for the rest of my life. I was crushed. I thank God every day that I didn’t have cancer, but I’m down one ovary, and now I’ll never even be able to wear a bikini again.

I am a Manager for an Orthopaedic Surgery Practice with three Orthopaedic Surgeons. I had rotator cuff repair surgery on July 28 of this year. I began using Mederma as soon as the bandages were removed. Due to the nature of the surgery, I was only able to reach the two incision sites for the first two weeks. After that, I was only able to reach the third incision site. The fourth incision site is on the back of my shoulder, and I am just beginning to reach to apply the Mederma.

I am now 8 weeks out from the surgery. Several people told me to take photos because the difference in the incision sites is very drastic. Site one and two are barley visible. Site three is subtle, and site four is very visible. It is great to know there is a product such as yours out there.
